The Great Escape Tunnel To Freedom by Mike Meserole is about WWII. So far in the book it just describes how the concentration camps were for the British air force. The whole thing was surrounded by machine guns and if you tried to escape you would be shot but if you were to escape and make it back to London it was called "The Grand Slam."
How does this compare to Elie Wiesel's book? (Are you reading Wiesel?) I think it's great that you're reading a book about WWII.
