At the end of the book Sally decides to meet Mrs. Holland at a lake to talk things out... but at the end of their talk, Mrs. Holland goes mad and jumps into the lake! Then, a man comes and kidnaps Sally. When the kidnaper tries to kill Sally, she shoots him with the gun that trembler gave her. After she kills him, she gets really scared and runs away. Rosa follows her, and brings her home. Then Sally drives back to where the man took her, and finds a note that her father wrote her before he died.
This book was really bad, and I am NOT going to read another book by Philipe pullman.

The man who kidnaped her was the guy who killed her father.
It sounds like a really exciting book. I know from experience that some books go REALLY slow. That has happened to me many times.

ReplyDeleteZoe, I am glad that you finally finished the book! I think that some of his other books are better. The Golden Compass is a great book, for example.
