Arthur is a normal human being who doesn't know ford is an alien, Ford tells him earth is going to be destroyed. they go onto the ship that has destroyed the earth and get caught and booted out into space. Then they are rescued by Zaphod Beeblebox and Trillian. Zaphod and Trillian are going to Malgaria which is a planet that custom makes planets. this is only the very beginning of there adventures through space and time.
