Joe's review of Tales From The Farm

Tales From the Farm by Jeff Lemire is about a 10 year old boy named Lenny. Lenny was born without any parents, so he lives and works with his uncle at a farm. He and his uncle don't get along; his uncle works Lenny to death, because he doesn't know much about kids. Lenny meets a former hockey player named Jimmy at a gas station. Jimmy turns out to be Lenny's closes and only friend. They find their way of having fun by playing hockey, dressing up as superheros and escaping to a imaginary world of protecting the earth from aliens, monsters and super villains. I like this book because it moves fast and I love the story. I love Lenny's personality and how he interacts with Jimmy. I hope it has a good ending.

  1. Joe,

I'm glad that you are enjoying the book so far. The story seems great. The concept of a friendship between an older guy and younger boy makes me think of the book/movie "About a Boy."
